Morris William Miller, 83, of San Angelo died Sunday Oct. 24, 1999, at his residence. Service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 25, at Johnson's Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Morris was born July 3, 1916, in Ozona, the only son of Will L. and Callie Dunlap Miller, pioneer ranch families. He graduated from Ozona High School in 1933 and moved to Borden County to join his dad in ranching. He married Willena Wyatt, his high school sweetheart, in 1936, and they continued to live on the ranch in Borden County. He was a Baptist. Their only child, Margaret Ann, was born in 1943, in Snyder. She died in 1993, after almost six years battling cancer. In 1957, they moved to Bandera County, where they purchased the beautiful Rocky River Ranch near Medina. They had many friends there in the beautiful Hill Country. In 1977, they moved to San Angelo and purchased a ranch in Concho County, near Eden. Morris went to the Concho County ranch almost every day and went to Borden County often to oversee the property there. Morris is survived by his wife, Willena, and two granddaughters, Cara Carpenter and Julie Ann Carpenter; also two great grandchildren, Kyle Morris Hahn and Chelsea Raelynn Hahn. He is also survived by one sister, Mildred Bond of Brookesmith; and his brother-in-law and wife, Floyd and Dorothy Wyatt of Bandera.
